Ha! This thing has more views than I do! Not any more :D

:iconreadplz:

Attention: To avoid confusion, this isn't a program or a set of emoticons, just the image you see here. Just cut and paste what you want out of it ^-^

I'm submitting this at College so I'll keep this short until I can update it properly at the weekend :typerhappy:
(I've written this all at home, I'm just pasting it into the box)

How to use

Many people have asked about this so I thought I'd some it up here:

1. Save the image - either right click on the image and select save as or copy and paste it into the graphics program of your choice. I'd recommend MSPaint for the simplicity of the tools
2. Using the select tool in your program select one of the coloured bases and put it into a new document using copy and paste
3. Take one of the expressions using the select tool and making sure it's set on transparent background place it onto the base in the position you want it - you don't have to copy the circle around it, just the eyes/mouth
4. Place the hands for the base you've used in the position you want

You should have a basic emoticon by the end of this.

Description

This is the third Emoticon Starter Pack I've made and is a combination of the original and the second packs. I've noticed that people are still :+fav:ing the original more than the second one so I thought I'd combine the resources and different coloured emotes into one resource. This is a pack for people new to emoticons and provides some basic resources to get you started. Once you feel confident (which will probably be straight away) you can start to make your own, I suggest first by creating your own shading style.
Even if you're not new to emoticons you can still use this pack if you want.

If you want to see versions one and two they're here: [link] [link]

So, what's in the pack:

1. Two sets of emoticon templates:
I. My natural rainbow range of emotes, hues are mixtures of 3 basic colours
II. My original spectrum, hues go up in equal increments of 10
Each colour has 4 tones
2. A grayscale set of templates, 8 different tones
3. Eye Expressions: these can be moved anywhere on your emoticon's 'face'
4. Mouth Expressions: these can also be moved anywhere on your emoticons's 'face'
5. Accessories: objects, symbols and other quirks you can use to emphasise emotions or actions
6. A template and shading guide in case you want to make your own shading style (template) or use different colours (shading guide) using my shading style.

I’ve remade the original spectrum so the shading is softer – the original dark tones looked a bit contrasting making it hard to add expressions so I’ve changed the whole set to make the shading more uniform. The colours are still dark but there’s nothing stopping you from giving them radioactive-looking eyes. I only made the red set by hand and changed the hue in gimp to make all 24 colours (I have done whole packs by hand before and changing individual figures hundreds of times is not as fun as I’m making it sound (boring))

I've updated all of the accessories and added some new ones and have done the same with the mouths. The expressions obviously don't cover every pose but there are quite a few there and you can always make your own if you feel confident enough to. You can mix and match different sets of expressions - you don't have to give happy eyes to a happy emote - to make many different emotions.

The pack is not a pack as such, or a program you can use to conveniently create an emote so I'm sorry. What it is is a single image with all of the resources conveniently placed together so all you have to do is copy and paste the required parts - bodies, eyes, mouths (sounding rather morbid) - into a new document and arrange them into an emote. You don't need to cut out the circles around the eyes/mouths - they're just a guide for if you want to place them in the place I've placed them (And this won't work in certain combinations as the parts may overlap).

Important Information

The pack is free to use as long as you give me credit if used
You may NOT use this pack on other websites and as with all my emoticons DO NOT STEAL
Only the bases and named parts are free to use, do not take anything decorative including the sun and moon I made.
Wolfwood is (c) me - DO NOT STEAL

Anyway, Enjoy and feel free to give me suggestions on how to improve this pack.

:w00t: Another DD!?! Thankyou ^-^ Especially to:iconkrissi001: and :iconsynfull:

Daily Deviation

As emoticon base packs go, Emoticon Starter Pack V 3.0 by ~Wooded-Wolf is one of the finest I have found so far. With 200 different colours, a range of expressions and several additional accessories, it is an amazing resource for deviants interested in creating emoticons, without making the bases themselves. I know I'm not a emote artist but I just HAD to say something!

WOW. This is, by far, the best emoticon set I've seen! I love all the faces you've made and the shading is excellent. There is a massive range of emoticons and I love every one of them! Every single face is unique. There is such intricate detail in all of your emoticon, it's perfect!!
I had to put you half a star down for originality because obviously you're not the only one who made an emoticon starter pack, although I love the idea of putting a wolf, sun etc at the botoom, very original!
I have nothing else too say, apart from the fact that you should be VERY proud because is pure GENIUS! :D

Wow, this looks fantastic! I'm quite partial to emotes and I've been wanting to try my hand at making a few; your pack here appears to be just the thing for a newbie like me  Thank you for sharing this! If I ever manage to create any emotes I will certainly credit and link =D
