A bit late but here it is:..
This started out as something to do at the start of the week but quickly became something useful for others.

So here it is - a build-your-own emoticons kit for beginners.
Just chose a body, and face and you have an emoticon.
It is really meant for animations and such so that's why the expressions are so basic..

Colours: There are 3 sets of colours - Light, Dark and Mixed. There are 24 hues and white/grey/black to chose from.
The dark emoticons aren't good with dark expressions so vary the colour of the expressions or use in dark unlit scenes..

Expressions:
Eyes - really basic expressions, easy to use in animations.
Mouths - again, terribly basic, but for beginners.
I have put the expressions in certain positions as a guide - they can be moved around. Some expressions don't fit together properly unless moved around. Adjust outline colours depending on emoticon colour..

There are also Miscellaneous items you can add.


There is also a shading template (rainbow coloured thing) and blank template for you to use to make your own emoticons. You don't have to shade the way I did..


This is all hand done on paint - I had to adjust the Hue, Sat, Lum for each colour. Some of the numbers may not be perfect as Paint has a habit of only letting you make certain colours.
